Denim by Victoria Beckham Jeans
By Jeans Addict
Okay, when you hear “Beckham” probably you will run into David Beckham the football star. But wait, there’s another Beckham that has started to run the fashion business – Victoria Beckham. Yes, Mrs. Beckham is in the house.
Beckham designed a limited-edition fashion line for Rock & Republic called VB Rocks in 2004, consisting mainly of jeans for the high end of the market. After Beckham’s departure from Rock & Republic, in September 2006, she furthered her fashion ventures when she launched her own denim label of which she acts as creative director. The new line of Beckham’s jeans collection is called dvb Style (denim by Victoria Beckham). dVb accomplishes this announcement through either a star, or a small monogram (signature) on the back pocket
My philosophy for jeans whether designing or purchasing is a tailored fit, exceptional quality and a shot of high fashion. – Victoria Beckham
Coming with the dVb brand, Beckham then launched her new official website, dvbstyle.com, which promotes her fashion work, which are not just jeans. While for the women’s jeans, some are satisfied with its’ cute and butt-enhancement design, mean while others did shout-out some request for the jeans to “come in all size” because of its thin-sizes.
The flare – snug on the hips and bottom with volume below the knee – suddenly looks modern rather than retro and, more importantly, incredibly fresh. Flared jeans for women are obviously much easier to wear than skin tight skinny jeans, especially if (like me) you have hips! The larger flare balances out the shape. You look thinner as your jeans provide volume and dramatic distraction well below the thigh. And as this cut is a lot less lumpen, infinitely sexier and more directional than the boyfriend jean, what’s not to like?
How to wear them
1. Focus on the waist? Tuck in at the waistband to balance the volume below the knee. The newly defined waist is a big story this autumn and flares let you play it up.
2. Wear with vests, next season’s skinny knits and short non-flare jackets? You don’t want volume above and below the waist.
3. If you do wear with feminine blouses, keep the fabric weight light and diaphanous. And tuck them in.
4. Wear with chunky, statement platforms? You’ll need the height to lengthen the leg.
5. Ensure the flares are low enough to cover your shoes? Half-mast flares are unforgivable.
6. Don’t add any overtly 1970s accessories like a floppy hat, unless you are attending a fancy dress party.
7. Keep it classic with a simple white shirt.
8. If you are wide on the hips choose a style that is sits slightly lower on the hips – it will be more flattering.
9. Channel the Halston vibe with slinky tops and towering heels.
10. Low slung bum? Stick to the simple wide legged jean? Flares are not the answer.

Kim Smith Jeans Girl
By Jeans Addict
Girls – relatively, towards boys – always look awesome in jeans, especially when they fit-in well. No doubts there are so many i-love-to-see picture describing girls in jeans, posing nicely – inviting and tempting (gosh). Most of them have given name as jeans-girl, but don’t ask me who started it because it surely wasn’t me. Indeed, they all are beautiful young women chosen by some jeans brand (or company) to promote their products. And they sure made their point, big time.
That’s Kim Smith, one of the so many famous jeans girl exist out there. This is taken from one of the top designer jeans brand – Guess? – Campaign. She’s definitely one good-looking, I say. It won’t be a surprised for me if you probably have seen her in some magazines, or commercial ads, even in music video clip and movies (not as the main character though).
We have to admit that jeans aren’t dedicated for women only, and so does the pleasure to enjoy the view. So sometimes they use male models also for the campaign, just like this Italian Diesel Jeans Campaign, but that’s another story. I prefer to stick with the jeans girl campaign.
